The turbine contains a mixing passage (13) and a combustion chamber (14) between first (5) and second (7) set of blades. The vanes (10) are situated in the passage immediately downstream of the first set of blades, and fuel nozzles (12) can be mounted downstream of the vanes. The first set of blades can form a compressor or a turbine. The residual turbulence can be aligned in the axial direction by the vanes, generating a secondary eddy current distributing the injected fuel over a wide area. Further swirl-inducing components can be included, to aid formation of this current (20).
