The clustered computer system includes a facility (2) to measure the utilisation of each of the clusters. A task manager (6) manages tasks in each cluster, and a task handler (7) controls the execution of the task in a cluster. A request controller (3) selects a task for delivery to a cluster that has been reported as lightly loaded by the utilisation measure device. A task selector (4) selects the task to be executed by a cluster after a request has been received, and takes control of the task. The request controller (3) judges the utilisation of the clusters and asks the task selector (4) to schedule the task for execution on a cluster.
