摘要 |

The present invention is related to improved reducing amination processes through which monoethanelamine and ammonia are reacted in the presence of hydrogen and several reducing amination catalysts for high yielding selectivity for acyclic products such as aminoethylethanelamine, while reducing the production of cyclic products, such as piperazine. When the process of the present invention is carried out in the presence of metals containing a reducing amination catalyst, such as nickel or nickel and rhenium, in transition alumina carriers, both productivity of and selectivity to the desired products are increased. Alternatively, the process can be carried out in presence of catalysts similar to hydrotalcite or tacovite, which have improved the use of promoters to achieve the desired results.
|
