A vent cap (1) of plastic material for roof ridge and hip capping is described, which has air passages (6) and a marginal region shaped according to the surface contour of roofing elements. On this respective marginal region there is provided, at least over part of its length, a flexible sealing lip (16), hugging the surface of the roofing elements.
