<p>A bulk memory (30) stores a data base (BDT) representing at least one substantial part of the terrestrial globe, according to a meshing with several levels, which is more precise especially in the vicinity of an airport. Status indications are received, representing the position of the aircraft, with two horizontal components (L, G) and the altitude (Z), and the speed and acceleration vectors of the aircraft, as well as control indications (MZC) originating from the control position. As a function of the said horizontal components of the position of the aircraft, means (35) transfer into high-speed memory (40) a temporary local card, from which there is defined an envelope in terms of the altitude of the terrain, in the region in which the aircraft is moving. Anti-collision processing means (4; 43, 46) make it possible to give an alarm (51) if the relationship between a protection domain and the altitude envelope satisfies a first condition which is defined at least partly by the said control indications. <IMAGE></p> |
