The support device has a fixing clamp for attaching it to the suction tube, which is made of aluminium or plastics, for preventing damage to the suction tube, the cooperating aperture plate provided with a cushioning rubber or plastics layer on the side facing the tube. The support device has a pair of support feet pivoted to a bracket at the rear of the aperture plate, for movement between a folded position in which they lie immediately adjacent the suction tube and a working position at an angle of less than 90 deg. to the tube.
