The subband filtering equipment for an audio encoding/decoding comprises an audio signal(Vi) storing part(51) for storing in order digital signals of an inputted audio by 32bits each at a first-in first-out memory and then outputting it through a first register(54); an addition signal(Yi) storing part(52) for storing in order the digital signals of the audio added through each part at the first-in first-out memory in order and then outputting it through the first register(54); a subband signal inputting part(53) for shifting a sample value of a V vector to a U vector and performing a mapping, according to an encoded audio digital signal(Si) of each subband; a ROM(55) for storing each of filter coefficients(Nik, Di, Ci, AMik) and outputting the coefficients based on the number of clocks(clkinc); a multiplier(56) for multiplying data outputted from the first register(54) and the ROM(55) and outputting it to a second register(57); an adder(58) for adding up a value outputted from the second register(57) and a value fed back and inputted therefrom, and storing it at a third register(59); a filtering signal storing part(61) for receiving the digital signal of each subband through the adder(58) and storing signals having an execution of an analysis subband filtering; and an outputting part(60) for receiving the digital signals of each subband through the adder(58), and outputting signals having an execution of a synthetic subband filtering, whereby providing a subband filtering equipment capable of being designed, including analysis/synthesis subband filters together so as to perform the encoding and decoding operations in one encoder.
