<p>A device for propulsion of internal combustion engine powered vehicles wherein the vehicle driver, during normal vehicle operation, determines the vehicle velocity essentially by controlling the gear transmission ratio between the vehicle's engine and its wheels. Thereby the rotational speed of the engine is kept low resulting in high engine energy efficiency during normal operation, while the driver by reflex, immediately and without auxiliary controls is able to shift to high engine speeds and high engine power.</p> |
