Structure-borne noise between abutting building members by use of an extruded plastic hollow section. The profile is preferably sub-divided into several adjacent hollow chambers (5) and at least one end section can be extended by coupling an extension section (7) to it via an undercut groove mounting and a corresponding T-section on the extension piece. A reinforcing member (10) can be provided in at least one of the hollow chambers with point or linear contact with the outer walls of the extruded section, which can be sealed at its ends with closing sections (20). The assembly is preferably used as shuttering between two adjacent concrete components, particularly in steps.
