Cell interaction system for induction of artificial 3-dimensional tissue comprises cultures, which comprise or develop an extracellular matrix and which are bound together through membranes or are in direct contact with one another or are mixed with one another. Also claimed are: (1) a method (a) for producing cartilage tissue using a system as above, comprising: (a) suspending cartilage cells or mesenchymal progenitor cells of different maturity and degree of differentiation in a fibrinogen solution, (b) distributing the suspension in a bioabsorbable polymer web, (c) adding factors or components of the corresponding extracellular matrix to promote growth and differentiation, (d) solidifying the composition by adding thrombin and (e) exposing the composition to a differentiating micro-medium; (2) a method (B) for producing bone tissue using osteogenic cells of different maturity and degree of differentiation in a fibrinogen solution and the method of (A).
