A container realized from welded sheet is described, which presents a circular base (1) and square opening (4): the distance between the opposite sides of the square opening (4) is normally larger than the diameter of the circular base (1). The container presents a volume greater than that of a frustum-conical container having equal overall dimensions (height of the container and diameter of the opening). It allows a better use of the available area both on the transporting means of the containers (pallets, container, etc.) and in the storehouse.
