Read-write head transfer mechanism for magnetic storage device

A magnetic head (20) is attached to a carriage (18) which moves radially across a magnetic disc (8). The carriage has a groove (18r) at its front end, for filling with adhesive. This is to attach the magnetic head, when positioned across the groove, to the carriage. The filling groove is wider at one end, beyond the magnetic head, for ease of introducing the adhesive. A clearance groove (18s) is provided near the filling groove, and overlaps with part of the lower surface of the magnetic head.
