<p>A battery-powered electric hand tool, such as a battery-powered screwdriver, battery-powered drill or the like, has a machine housing (11), a battery housing (10) attached to it for accommodating batteries, and also a catch connection (12) which is effective between battery housing (10) and machine housing (11) and has catch hooks (17, 18 or 17', 18'), arranged on the battery housing (10) on two opposite side walls, and catch elements arranged on the machine housing (11) for the catch hooks (17, 18 or 17', 18') to engage behind. To obtain a simple design of the catch connection, which permits simple and cost-effective manufacture of the battery housing (10), the catch elements of the catch connection (12) are formed by the U-legs (261, 262) of a U-shaped, spring-elastic wire bow (26) lying in the machine housing (11).
