Disclosed is a method and apparatus to control a fan motor in air conditioner. The method comprises 4 steps. In the first step, the measured data of natural wind is low-pass filtered. In the second step, the filtered data is converted into a voltage signal, and the voltage signal is amplified. In the third step, a system transfer function is acquired, and the reverse function is serially compensated by the natural wind so that final control signal is acquired. In the fourth step, the fan-motor is drived according to the final control signal. Thereby, user feels the natural wind from the fan motor.
