PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the shortening of life of a regenerator due to the corrosion of a grid and to reduce the restriction in the shape of thermal storage material by the grid by installing a partition wall in the material in the regenerator, and bending the passage of gas. SOLUTION: Burners are installed at the right and left of a combustion chamber 1, and regenerators 4, 5 are installed at the right and left. Heat exchange cambers 6 are provided in the regenerators 4, 5, and a partition wall 7 is suspended from the central top of the chamber 6 substantially to the intermediate part. Further, many thermal storage balls 8 are filled in the chamber 6, and a burner coupling port 9 with the burner and a supply port 10 for supplying combustion exhaust gas and atmosphere are provided. Thus, when fuel is burned by the burner, the part of the exhaust gas is moved, introduced from the port 10 to the chamber 6 of the regulator 5 as indicated by an arrow 15, heat exchanged with the bending flow (arrows 16, 17), fed via the valve from the port 9, and exhausted from the exhaust port. |
