PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of the efficiency of a fuel cell, which is caused by short-circuiting between air and a fuel gas in both sides because of formation of air-through holes in a solid electrolyte film formed by a conventional method involving only a process thermally to spray YSZ particles, at the time of forming a solid electrolyte film of a fuel cell. SOLUTION: A solid electrolyte film is formed by mixing a raw material powder (YSZ powder) for spraying thermally with metal Zr, Y or an alloy powder of these metals and spraying the resultant mixed powder. As compared with the melting point of YSZ, that of the added metals or alloy is low even by 1000 deg.C, so that the metals or alloy can prevent formation of air-through holes while burying the gaps between YSZ particles which are thermally sprayed and accumulated and a dense solid electrolyte film can be formed. |
