PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out stable operation for a long period by effectively cooling an outlet part of a flow passage of an oxidizing agent gas, efficiently condensing and capturing phosphoric acid vapor in a gas, and turning back the resultant vapor to a matrix layer. SOLUTION: An oxidizing agent electrode 5A, an oxidizing agent electrode base material 6A, a fuel electrode 2A, and a fuel electrode base material 3A, which compose a sub-block of a fuel cell layered body, are arranged separately while keeping gaps extended in the direction at right angles to the oxidizing agent gas flowing direction, respectively. As a result, heat coeduction in the oxidizing agent gas flowing direction through these composing members can be blocked out and thus an outlet part of the oxidizing agent gas can be cooled easily and the temperature of the part can be lowered. |
