PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet, capable of reducing the weight, preventing the loss in shape, having moderate cooling and ventilating effects, excellent in shock absorbing properties and suitable for motorcycles, etc. by forming a part of the area, etc., in an inner covering unit of a specific cushioning material. SOLUTION: This helmet is obtained by providing an inner covering unit 3 on the inner surface of an outer shell hat unit 2 and forming a part or all of the area in the inner covering unit 3 of a cushioning material 7. The cushioning material 7 is formed of board materials 8, 9 and 10 comprising many rodlike elastic materials formed by winding slender belt materials into a coil spring shape side by side in a single layer or plural layers. Furthermore, the cushioning material is preferably formed by laminating the plural board materials comprising the rodlike elastic materials having different diameters to be materials. |
