PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a lens corresponding to a subject at a photographing distance within a wide range at the time of ordinary photographing, and to reduce the useless movement of the lens and to realize quick focusing in the case of photographing the subject at the photographing distance within a certain range. SOLUTION: In the case a lens driving range is not restricted by a switching means 7 for setting whether or not the driving range of the lens 6 is restricted, the lens 6 can be driven in all the range by a control means 4. In the case the lens driving range is restricted by the means 7, the driving of the lens 6 is inhibited when lens position detecting means 4 and 8 detect that the lens 6 is positioned in the 1st range, and the driving of the lens 6 in both directions is permitted when the means 4 and 8 detect that the lens 6 is positioned in the 2nd range, then the driving of the lens 6 from one end to the other end is inhibited and the driving from the other end to one end is permitted when the means 4 and 8 detect that the lens 6 is positioned in the 3rd range. |
