PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of mite and mold by arranging a nonwoven fabric of polypropylene fiber, into which soluble glass including silver ion is kneaded, between the mat and base of straw matting (tatami). SOLUTION: Antibacterial and antimold deodorizing insect-proof soluble glass powder, in which P2 O5 , MgO, Al2 O3 and Ag2 O are blended and which includes silver ion, at 50μm or less of grain diameter is adjusted at 30% by weight. Next, glass powder is blended in the polypropylene, and while melt spinning is performed so as to form the short fiber. The short fiber is processed through heating so as to form a nonwoven fabric 3. Furthermore, this nonwoven fabric 3 is arranged between the mat 2 and base 1 of the tatami. With this structure, an appropriate quantity of silver ion is solved out for a long time, and seeped out to the mat 2 and base 1 of the tatami, the generation of mite and mold can be prevented.
