PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vibrating gyro whose height can be made low and whose characteristic is stable by covering a vibrator with a cover which comprises inner walls in a symmetric shape as viewed from the vibrator. SOLUTION: A vibrator 16 is supported on one main face of a board 12 by two support members 14a, 14b. The vibrator 16 comprises a vibrating body 18 in, e.g. an equilateral triangular prism shape. When a driving signal, which is output from a drive circuit, is given to two piezoelectric element 20a, 20b, the vibrating body 18 is vibrated in the up-and-down direction. In addition, since a circuit component 22 is installed on the side of the vibrator 16 on one main face of the board 12, its height can be made low. In addition, since the vibrator 16 is covered with a cover 24 comprising inner walls in a symmetric shape as viewed from the vibrator 16, sound waves which are generated from the vibrator 16 are hard to reflect, standing waves are hard to generate around the vibrator, and characteristics such as temperature-offset voltage characteristic, a temperature-sensitivity change rate characteristic and the like are made stable. |
