<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and efficiently treat the malodorous gas and waste water generated in the process of waste water treatment by combining the treatment with a powdered carbonaceous adsorbent and ozone oxidation. SOLUTION: The malodorous gas generated in the process of waste water treatment is brought into contact with a carbonaceous adsorbent in a bag filter 22 and adsorbed on the adsorbent, and the spent adsorbent is added to waste water to adsorb the org. component. Further, ozone is added to the waste water in an ozone oxidation tank to conduct the oxidative decomposition of org. matter and sterilization, and the waste gaseous ozone generated in the ozonation is brought into contact with the carbonaceous adsorbent in the bag filter 22 along with the malodorous gas to decompose the ozone. Active powder coke is preferably used as the adsorbent.</p> |
