An electrode of an electron gun for CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) is described that varies the distance between the correction electrodes of R, G and G in order to reduce the difference of spot size around a screen, and thereby increase the resolution of the screen. The fifth electrode of the electron gun is separated by a front electrode and rear electrode. A hole is formed at a predetermined position of the rear electrode, and a rear correction electrode is installed such that its center part can differ from its side parts. The center part of the front electrode is flat and the side parts thereof are sloped. A front correction has a hole through which a light beam pass. Thereby, it is possible to reduce the difference of spot size around the screen, and thus increase the resolution of the screen.
