PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color-image-forming device satisfactory in maintainability for collectively transferring a color image onto a transfer material by providing plural image forming units in the circumference of a drum-like intermediate transfer body, transferring monochromatic images formed by the corresponding units, onto the intermediate transfer body in order, thereby forming a multicolor or full-color image. SOLUTION: Each of image forming units 4, 5, 6, and 7 is arranged to be pivotally moved in the direction away from or nearer to the intermediate transfer body 1. The intermediate transfer body 1 has a surface coated with an elastic material. Each of the image forming units 4, 5, 6, and 7 has an electrophotographic photoreceptor drum 11 for image formation, and transfers a monochromatic image formed on the photoreceptive drum 11 onto the intermediate transfer body 1 by fringing the drum 11 into pressure contact with the intermediate transfer body 1. |
