PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wasteful power consumption caused by the execution of range-finding operation in an uncharged state in the constitution of a camera where shutter operation is inhibited when a capacitor for a stroboscope is uncharged. SOLUTION: This camera is provided with a main capacitor voltage detection means 14 starting the decision whether or not the amount of the charge accumulated in the capacitor 13 attains a specified amount according as a release button is depressed by one stem, a range-finding start control means inhibiting the measurement of a distance to a subject by a range-finding means 18 according to the decision that the amount of the charge accumulated in the capacitor 13 does not attain the specified amount and starting the measurement of the distance to the subject by the range-finding means 18 according to the decision that the amount of the charge accumulated in the capacitor 13 attains the specified amount, and an exposure start control means starting exposing operation including shutter opening/closing operation according as the measurement of the distance to the subject is completed and the release button is deprssed by two steps. |
