Date Apr. 13, 1995Proposed is a light-liquid offtake system designed for installation in a separator basin, the device having a separator tank with an inlet port for the liquid mixture to be separated, an overflow port for light liquid, an overflow port for water, a collector tank for the light liquid and a collector tank for the water. Both tanks contain a float. When the level in a tank exceeds a predetermined limit, the floats actuate closure devices fitted to close off the separator-tank inlet port and prevent water flowing back into the separator tank.
