A shock absorber for motor vehicles in which the acceleration of the piston 2 in the cylinder 1 is regulated. The invention is characterized in that the exterior of the cylinder of the shock absorber 1 is linked to a closed circuit of pipes 10a - 10b by two intervening valves, 12a - 12b. These valves are adjusted by the driver through a central switch 14 and control the rate of flow of the liquid from the upper to the lower part of the piston 2 and vice versa. The invention can be applied to any type of motor vehicle without requiring any special construction on the bodywork; it is repairable, easy to maintain and gives excellent results in terms of road safety. |
