An improvement to an armchair which can be converted so as to have two or more seats or a single bed consisting of a fixed structure and two sides which can be moved so as to be mounted on the fixed structure, either sideways to it so that the fixed structure can be supplemented by additional seats when the moving structures are moved sideways and which is characterised by the fact that a frame for supporting the seat and a frame for supporting the back are assembled on the central structure through a system of jointed levers. These systems are mobile and can be placed either in a lowered position which allows the fixing of the side structures on the central structure or in a raised position where these seats and back are in effect level with the side structures when the latter are mounted sideways. |
