PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the 'tensing' of a coated optical fiber when a tray of the extra-length storage box using book type trays is opened. SOLUTION: The book type trays 11A and 11B are provided in two upper and lower stages. The upper-stage book type tray 11A is supported by a support frame body 25 above the lower-stage book type tray 11B so that the book type tray 11B and a hinge part 15 are on the opposite side. The support frame body 25 consists of a rotary frame body 29 and a fixed frame body 31 which are coupled by a hinge 33 nearby the upper-end edge on the opening/closing side of the lower-stage book type tray 11B. When the lower-stage book type tray 11B is opened, an anchor 35 is detached and the rotary frame body 27 is opened. The maximum radius of rotation of a coated optical fiber lead-in opening 19 can be made less than before. |
