PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict generation of a void or water tree in an insulation layer and improve a long-duration safety in a cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cable using a divided conductor or circular compression conductor. SOLUTION: A stranded element wire 22 formed by stranding a number of element wires 20 is formed. A divided conductor 24 is formed by stranding the five wires without arranging any intermediate material.
