PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep electric continuity to the contact area of a developing roller long and to restrain the formation of wedge by toner in a space formed with the developing roller to the minimum. SOLUTION: This doctor blade is equipped with a follow-up type laminate 4 having a resin coating film backing layer 4a and a conductive layer 4b obtained by filling resin adhesive with the abrasive particles of silicon carbide and conductive carbon black. The laminated 4 is supported by a bar 2 made of aluminum and having a wall 2b extended downward. In the case of using the doctor blade, the laminate 4 is bent at the end of the wall to the lower side of the supporting bar 2 but goes straight to the developing roller 7, so that the formation of wedge at a place where the laminate 4 comes in contact with the developing roller 7 is avoided. The conductive layer 4b keeps the conductivity even when it is worn away in the midst of use, and the toner is prevented from being accumulated in a nip in the midst of use because the formation of wedge is avoided. Combined with both of them, the long-term effectivity and the useful operability of the doctor blade are realized. |
