PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter for automobile, and an alternator including it, which can be press-fitted and a cathode diode can be soldered using a single rear plate. SOLUTION: A disc type adapter 10 having outer circumferential surface 12 is press-fitted in the orifice of an alternator. At least one of upper and bottom plates of adapter is flat and the diode is soldered onto the flat surface.
