MAGNETIC COUPLING DEVICE OF LAMBDA G/2-RESONATOR FORMING WAVEGUIDE TO MAIN CONDUCTOR OF TEM LINE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain magnetic coupling over broad band between a major wire of a TEM line and a waveguide forming aλg/2 resonator. SOLUTION: The major wire is fixed to a wall face of the waveguide and extended in the inside of the waveguide by a pin 25. The coupler is provided with a tuning screw 26 that enters the waveguide around a free end of the pin 25 and extends vertically to the pin 25. The coupler is provided with an iris 31 around and in the center of the pin 25, and the iris 31 is closed at a wall face side and its internal volume forms a zone in which a wave is gradually lost. Furthermore, a central shaft of the tuning screw 26 is within an aperture plane of the iris 31.
