The adhesive composition for tire cord is prepared by adding 1~5wt% of glycol such as ethyleneglycol, propyleneglycol or like and 0.01~0.1 wt% of metallic halide such as potassium iodide, potassium chloride or like to 100wt% of resorcinol-latex initial condensate of structural formula(I). The prepared adhesive composition has excellent adhesive ability to thermal cohesion and heat-proof great strength as well as the stability in deposit is advanced. In the above formula, n is the integer from 1 to 9.
