PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a medical treatment implement which has medical function properties and cost effectiveness and has a surface excellent in bioadaptability. SOLUTION: A compsn. consisting of a hydrophilic high polymer having an azide group or a hydrophilic high polymer having the azide group, a compd. having >=2 pieces of azide groups and a hydrophilic high polymer is made to exist on the surface of this medical treatment implement and is then subjected to photoirradiation, by which this hydrophilic high polymer is bonded to the surface of the medical treatment implement by covalent bonding via nitrogen atoms and the surface having the excellent bioadaptability is obtd.
