PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically change automatic accompaniment patterns by changing an accompaniment pattern to a different special pattern if the number of manual performance inputs by a player is larger than a specific number within a specific time during an automatic accompaniment based upon a specific accompaniment pattern. SOLUTION: Playing operation shifting to a 1st variation pattern, i.e., playing operation meeting VPI conditions is detected halfway in the automatic accompaniment based upon a normal pattern in a 3rd measure M3 and the musical performance is shifted to the 1st variation pattern. This automatic performance with this 1st variation pattern is carried out up to the end of a 4th measure M4. The performance is put back to the normal pattern automatically as a 5th measure M5 starts. In the 5th measure M5 and succeeding measures, the automatic performance based upon the normal pattern is carried out and playing operation meeting the VPI conditions is detected halfway in a 6th measure M6, so that the automatic performance based upon the 1st variation is stated. |
