PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a vaginal suppository which eliminates the need for a producer and consumer for respectively manually handling the suppository during production process and the dosage and a product which is easy in inserting it into the celom of vaginal celom, etc., and is not need for manually handling before, its inserting. SOLUTION: This applicator 100 consists of a plunger 10, a cylindrical part 20 and the suppository 30. The suppository 30 is formed on site. Namely, the suppository is produced in the unit dose applicator by placing a tubular cartridge into a cartridge holder, packing an aq. compsn. into the tubular cartridge, freezing the compsn. at a temp. between about -20 deg.C and about -40 deg.C, dropping the pressure acting on the frozen aq. compsn. down to the absolute pressure within a range of about 30 to about 1000 micron Hg and drying the compsn. within the tubular cartridge.
