PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow plural viewers to view the displayed image independently by providing a means displaying plural different images on a same screen, a means selecting plural images for each viewer, and a means displaying the image viewed by each viewer in 3-dimension. SOLUTION: A light source 501 emits a white light, reflected in a half mirror 502, and dispersed to a light in dichroic mirrors 504-506 having a wavelength area corresponding to GBR. Furthermore, the light reflected in a mirror 503 is dispersed to each wavelength area of BGR in a dichroic mirror, lights of two sets of RGB are generated. The light is made incident to a liquid crystal panel 507, where the light is optically modulated and two sets of prescribed images are generated. Then the light is projected onto a screen 510 via a mirror 509 from an optical system 508 and synthesized as a color image. The viewer selects the two sets of the image displayed on the screen 510 and a two- dimensional/3-dimensional image control circuit 511 is used to view a 3-dimension image. Furthermore, when a special eyeglass is used, two viewers view different 3-dimensional images. |
