PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the photostabilized aqueous solution type medicine composition containing a benzyl alcohol compound as an active ingredient, having an excellent adrenergicβ2 -receptor-stimulating action and useful as an utero relaxant, a bladder relaxant, etc. SOLUTION: This photostable benzylalcohol derivative-containing aqueous solution contains an optically active (-)-(R)-α-[(tert-butylamino)methyl]-2- chloro-4-hydroxybenzylalcohol of the formula or its salt and a light stabilizer. At least one selected from a saccharide (e.g. glucose), a sugar alcohol (e.g. xylitol) and a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. glycerol) is added as the light stabilizer to the aqueous solution in an amount of 1-50W/V% based on the volume of the aqueous solution. The compound of the formula is added in an amount of 0.01-10W/V% based on the volume of the aqueous solution. The aqueous solution can remarkably reduce the photodegradation of the compound of the formula, and can perfectly prevent the photodegradation with light transmitted a brown container. |
