PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the opening/closing of a front door due to a jam, etc., from being erroneously detected as toner replenishment of a user by judging the replenishment of the user not from the opening/closing of the front door of the main body of an image forming device but from the attachment/ detachment of a toner hopper. SOLUTION: The image forming device is equipped with the toner hopper 2, which is attached to a developing device freely detachably and replenishes a developing device with toner through a supply port communicating with the toner replenishment port of the developing device. When the toner runs out, the device judges an replenishing operation by a user from whether the toner hopper 2 has been attached or detached. Thus, even when the front door 3 is opened/closed due to the occurrence of a jam, etc., with a display indicating that the toner is almost used up or it is used up, the device prevents this from being erroneously detected as toner replenishment carried out by the user. |
