PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent plugging at the time of discharge by providing a jet nozzle and a discharge pipe at the lower section of a hopper, discharging the sediment of a relatively small grain size in the hopper in the horizontal direction, and discharging the sediment of a large grain size downward from an opening section. SOLUTION: A jet nozzle 207 having variable injection directions is installed on a hopper 24 discharging the sediment excavated by a cutter head 15, and an excavated object discharge pipe 202 having a throat section 208 is provided in response to the jet nozzle 207. When the sediment in the hopper 24 is to be discharged, a fluid is sprayed from the jet nozzle 207 to generate negative pressure at a throat section 208, and the sediment of a relatively small grain size is sucked and discharged from the discharge pipe 202. The excavated object of a large grain size unsuckable by the negative pressure is discharged from a passing opening section 24b at the lower section of the hopper 24. The plugging of the excavated object is prevented, and the efficiency of the excavating work can be improved. |
