PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet, capable of reducing the weight, having moderate cooling and ventilating effects and excellent in shock absorbing properties by forming a part of the area, etc. in an inner covering unit of a cushioning material having a lattice structure in which many through openings divided with thin plate materials are arranged in the plane direction side by side. SOLUTION: This helmet is obtained by installing an inner covering unit 3 on the inner surface of an outer shell hat unit 2, and forming a part or all of the area in the inner covering unit 3 of a cushioning material 7 having a lattice structure such as a honeycombed structure in which many through openings 8 divided with thin plate materials 9 are arranged in the plane direction side by side. Furthermore, the side facing to the inner surface of the outer shell hat unit 2 of the plate materials 9 forming the cushioning material 7 is preferably formed into a thinner shape than that of the other side. |
