<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform paper discharge operation when papers remain by providing a means checking residual paper in a machine, an automatic paper discharge part and an external interface processing means informing the outside of the paper residual data and receiving the designation of paper discharge from the outside. SOLUTION: At first, the residual paper in a machine is checked on the basis of the data from a means 004 detecting residual paper in a machine and, if there is residual paper, a control objective temp. is set to an automatic paper discharge standby temp., that is, the lowest temp. preventing the adhesion of toner to a fixing roller 013 at the time when unfixed paper is sent to a fixing device. Automatic paper discharge preparation is transmitted to an external machinery communication control means 007, and the presence of residual paper is transmitted to external machinery 002 and the automatic paper discharge designation from the external machinery 002 is cancelled. Thereafter, when the temp. of the fixing roller 013 reaches automatic paper discharge standby temp., this state is transmitted to an external machinery communication control means 007 to uniform that automatic paper discharge is possible. When the automatic paper discharge designation is issued from the external machinery 002, a paper feed mechanism 015 is driven to conduct automatic paper discharge.</p> |
