PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To interpose an electronic component between and hold it with a mechanical chuck stably and to fit it to a printed board, even if it is an electronic component of a different type, by causing a holding means to close the claws of the chuck by a vacuum-suction from a holder part side and to clamp the electronic component. SOLUTION: In an electronic component fitting device, a mechanical chuck is fitted to a fitting head 1 provided with an ascending and descending shaft 8 freely ascendable and descendable and having a holder part at its lower end, and the mechanical chuck closes the chuck claws 19, 29 by a vacuum-suction from the side of the holder part and interposes an electronic component B between and holds it. And the vacuum suction can be performed by also using vacuum suction which is done by fitting a suction nozzle 9 to the holder part and sucks and holds the electronic component B, and for the same holder part a suction nozzle 9 and a mechanical chuck having different electronic component B holding constitutions can be exchanged. Accordingly, it becomes possible for the mechanical chuck to hold the electronic component B which can not be held stably by suction since the mechanical chuck clamps the electronic component B with the chuck claws 19, 29. |
