An arrangement for surface-mounting sheet material for display, such as an advertisement, on a transparent surface (1, 24) attached to a first part of the arrangement which includes a frame (4) that can be moved from a first position, in which the frame (4) lies against a second arrangement part (15, 16), to a second position in which the frame is spaced from the second arrangement part. The invention is characterized in that the arrangement includes a downwardly open U-shaped channel (30) which extends generally along the upper edge of the surface (1) when the frame (4) is in said first position; in that the bottom (31) of the channel (30) is wider than the channel opening (32); in that the arrangement also includes a first elongated clamping device in the form of a generally triangular first strip (34), wherein the strip can be inserted axially into the channel (30) and presents a downwardly facing gap (35); in that the arrangement further includes a second elongated clamping device in the form of a generally triangular second strip (36) which is insertable into the first strip (34), wherein the second strip (36) also presents a downwardly facing gap (37); in that the first strip (34) is adapted to carry the second strip (36) in the inserted position; and in that the second strip is adapted to firmly clamp the sheet material (7) along its upper edge (44). |
