The device includes a magazine (12) carrying half beacons (14). These are intended to be fastened to an overhead cable (18) to serve as warning devices. The device is mounted within a frame (10) whose upper sections are fastened on to the cable itself (18) by means of hooks (20,22). The device is intended to be drawn along the cable in one direction. Within the device there is a pivoting mechanism (16) which includes jaws (56a,b). This is intended to withdraw the half-shells from the magazine and assembly them together around the cable, in a position which is behind the device w.r.t. its direction of travel along the cable. |
