PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide processed image for which an artifact is inconspicuous in a method and a device for processing images for performing an unsharpened masking processing (blurred masking processing). SOLUTION: In a filtering processing means 1, a filtering processing for obtaining an average value inside a mask is performed by the mask of N×N size for source image signal Sorg and blur image signals Sus are obtained. For smoothed images expressed by the blur image signals Sus, the filtering processing for obtaining the average value of the image signals inside the mask is performed by the mask of the N×N size further and the blurred image signals Sus' are obtained. Based on the blurred image signals Sus', in a blurred masking processing means 2, a blurred masking processing is executed by an equation Sproc = Sorg +β(Sorg-Sus') (Sproc; processed image signals: Sorg; source image signals: Sus'; blurred image signals:β; emphasis degree). |
