FIELD: plastic working of metals, may be used in ferrous metallurgy, mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering and ship-building. SUBSTANCE: method involves arranging basic billet in asymmetry with respect to forming axis, with difference of distances between basic billet edges and forming axis being equal to profile width difference; holding bending portion apex in forming plane in processing forming transition zones; bending profile strips at angles inversely proportional to their lengths till final bending angle of profile strip is reached in terminating forming transition zone, with final bending angle being determined in accordance with recited formula; forming profile bending portion; applying transverse compressing force and moving profile in penultimate and terminating forming transition zones. Compression force is applied and profile is moved in penultimate forming transition zone from the convex edge of basic billet toward concave edge of basic billet to position, in which projections of profile strips with adjoining bent portions to longitudinal plane, normal to forming plane and extending through centers of bent portions, are determined by recited expressions; and in terminating forming transition zone - from concave edge of basic billet toward convex edge of basic billet to position, at which projections of profile strips with adjoining parts of bent portions, are determined by other recited expressions. EFFECT: improved quality of bent corner parts with unequal strips by reduced helical twisting and unequal widths of strips of profile made from sickle- shaped basic billet. 3 dwg, 3 tbl |
