FIELD: communication engineering; data transmission devices. SUBSTANCE: device has common bus, data input/output unit, storage unit, multiplier in field GF (2), three buffer registers, two delay units, switch, three key units, and three OR gates. Binary coding and decoding is program-controlled. Nonbinary coding and decoding using Reed-Solomon code is mainly effected by means of three calculation procedures: by using Horner's equation; by adding products; multiplying by common factor; these procedures require same hard ware. Procedures are changed by means of processor of input/output unit which changes sequence of operand recording in buffer registers without changing mode of operation of device. Data processing speed in coding mode is 1.66 commands per bit and in decoding, 2.23 commands per bit. EFFECT: improved error control and data processing speed. |
