PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constitution to further reduce a pre-load during assembly and to provide the manufacturing method thereof, in a fixed pre-load type bearing device to fix the two outer rings of a pair of ball bearings to respective housings, and fix the inner peripheries of two inner rings of a shaft, extending through the two inner ring, in such a state that a pre-load in an axial direction is applied to the two inner rings of a pair of the ball bearings. SOLUTION: A housing 1 is formed of a material having thermal expansion higher than that of the two outer rings 2c of a ball bearing. After the outer peripheries of the two outer rings 2c and the housing 1 are fixed through shrink fit fitting-in, in such a state that heating to a temperature higher than an ordinary temperature is effected, a pre-load in an axial direction is applied to the two inner rings 2a of a pair of ball bearings, and in the heating state, the inner peripheries of the two inner rings 2c are fixed on a shaft 4 extending through the two inner rings 2a. |
